We have experienced issues with with the ability of our users to print documents when different printers have had different versions of PaperCut firmware installed. Users can release print jobs by logging into the printer using the printer's touchscreen panel, or with their employee ID badge. It can be configured to draw basic user information from Active Directory and you can manually enter individual accounts for persons who may not have an AD account. The software is easy to set up and maintain. That convenience alone is probably the best feature of this application for our users.
